And then my son spent five minutes as a model, and, as a result, so did I. And I received two glorious makeovers in the process. I wasn’t the focus of the shoot, so my makeup was light, natural, and simple. But I still felt like a million dollars, and decided I wouldn’t wait until the next photo shoot to find that oomph again, but that I would find it on my own (which, thank goodness, as there was no next shoot). So I adjusted my makeup budget a little. I did some serious Google Searches, and some serious trial-and-erroring, and stepped up my game by finding the best drug-store make up for moms. So if you find yourself looking to up your mom makeup game, take heart. We’ve got the PERFECT five minute makeup routine for moms to get you looking fresh a little more frequently.
Looking for new ways to get outside with your toddlers or preschoolers? May we present to you the simple bag of rocks- a $5 investment with LOTS of options for kids. Find inspiration in this list of ways to play with rocks outside.
Entertaining a toddler all day can be ridiculously hard work. My kids have thousands of dollars worth of games and toys and arts and crafts and I am not above allowing some indulgent screen time. But the fact is, at the end of the day, toddlers love dirt and sticks and rocks. Yeah, rocks.
Which – don’t get me wrong – I love. I mean, what’s not to love? They’re super cheap (also known as FREE at your nearest outside location), easy to handle, you don’t have to worry about getting them dirty, and you can just leave them in the backyard!
I love them SO much, I want to pass that love of rocks on to you! Sometimes the best toys are the simplest ones, and we just know your kids will agree. Check out our list of nine fun ways for toddlers to play with rocks.
When we first heard there was going to be a new Chick Fil A opening near us, we immediately began praying that they would have a playplace. And free WiFi. When we found out they would have both, we were way more excited than we should be.
But then we found out there was going to be a Chick Fil A First 100 campout, according to Chick Fil A company tradition. The day before a new Chick-fil-A opens, there is a twenty-four-hour celebratory campout. There are tons of giveaways, activities, free food…oh, and sleeping in a parking lot. But when we realized that in the end, the Chick-fil-A First 100 campout guests would get free Chick-fil-A for a YEAR (Read: One #1 combo a week for the next 52 weeks)? Well, there aren’t enough words for all the feelings. Needless to say, we went.
So how did it go? Well, we slept a little, ate a little, and laughed til we snorted. And because we KNOW you’re dying to know, here’s a play by play of our overnight campout at the Chick Fil A First 100 campout event.
If you give a Daddy a task, he’ll smile and say sure. He’ll start to unload the dishwasher, by putting away the glasses. When he gets to the cabinet, he’ll realize there are a lot of glasses we don’t use. He’ll go unload the Amazon box of baby’s birthday presents to use for storing glasses…
